What happened to the old SIfriends?

Hi everybody.
I was a regular SIfriends user, but I took a break from it when I wasn't cutting. I've gone back to cutting now but SIfriends has just... disappeared.
It's such a shame because I knew so many people who depended on the forum as their only "fallback" zone where they could be understood and accepted. =(

Can anybody fill me in on what happened/why it disappeared?

I'm really sorry to say that none of us including the Old SIF Staff knew why... we can all have theories and things about it but we will never know if there true or not.
